US Trip Part 10 - Back to Las Vegas

We woke up pretty early to depart back to Las Vegas. Since the journey from Arizona back to California is quite a fair distance, we decided to rest & relax one more night in LV again - for the sake of the gambler =)

We realised it was actually snowing last night.. the beautiful snow flakes on the car's windows prove it all.

After the GC hiking, all our footwear were very soaked (we did not wear proper footwear) therefore my very kind mommy put my furry boots near the heater to dry it.

And to my morning shocked, it was burnt! *boo hoo*

My furry boots with furry balls.... has been faithfully acc me round the world..

This time round, we stayed in a different hotel - Stratosphere
which is situated right at the LV Strip

The 1-149-foot Stratosphere Tower is a true Las Vegas Landmark and home to some of the worlds most original attractions. The Stratosphere thrill rides are the worlds 3 tallest -the Big Shot- X-Scream and the new Insanity
Since we were guests, we were entitled free entry to the observation Deck which actually cost US 13.95 per adult

too bad, nobody brave enough to try the thrill rides with me. (anyways its not cheap either)
Back to the hotel. Reia looked so boy then... what a pretty boy

Just never seems to be ending

For the month of June /July, she has seen 4/5 times of GP, 2 times of PD... the latest Bill clocked in at $154 as she needs a neb + antibiotics treatment. Feeding her anitibiotics is just so challenging.. It's so bitter and powedery that's so hard to swallow. I tried several ways of mixing it. Mix it with the milk - She detests it and rather not drink the milk. Mix it with dinosaur (milo) thought the strong milo taste should be able to cover the bitterness. Boy i was so wrong, tried it myself... and forced hub to drink too.... Just one spoon of milo plus a few mls of antibiotics, the bitterness just stays there for good.

haiz.. think she will have to take without the antibiotics.... Now she begins to detest all the medicines.....

Btw, we have decided to stop her GUG pgm. She has missed quite a couple of lessons due to her sickness...ya i know.. a bit wasted. Actually she has learned quite a lot from there thou she has been walking ard not listening to what the teacher says. But when i tried to revise with her at home, she seems to know. Well, gg to try a cheaper pgm... Sempi perhapes.

US Trip Part 9 - Grand Canyon

When our alarm clock went off today, we did not hesitate in getting up straight away. We were pretty excited about today's hiking... too bad, there's No Snow to shower us.

This was what greeted us when we woke up!

Reia cldnt wait to get her feet grounded into the ice! And so were we... :)

This was what happened after 7-up slept in the car for one whole Night!

There are many overlooks accessible by car that offer spectacular views of the canyon. Desert View Drive is open to private vehicles throughout the year. Not too sure we were in the SOuth Rim Trail or North Rim Trail. We just parked and walked along the rim to get a picture perfect views of the Grand Canyon walls!

Nose Bleeding continues....

Just received a call from her school teacher. She's having nose bleeding everytime she sneezed.. and it's those dripping flesh blood... So she called and asked did she knock herself yesterday or whatsoever.....

Haiz... Sianz... Spolit my Work day.... All mummies shldnt Work..... How to climb corporate ladder without worrying abt your child at home???!!! Just one call and it's enough to jeopadize my work, my mood, my everything.

Mummy's 60 大寿

Today, my dearest mummy mark another Milestone! She has turned 60!

Still looking young, pretty, radiant and healthy

And because of her 60 大寿, my dajie and Tom specially flew back to SG to celebrate this big occassion with her. arent she fortunate =)

This year, we had our dinner @ Pan Pac - Hai Tien Lo
Since mum a staff there, we get to enjoy 50% off the total bill *fwah*

It's hard to gather everyone together... since we are at different part of the world.

So we treasured every moment of gathering. A family portrait shot to show how blessed we are to have each other.

and to showcase how well her 3 beautiful daughters have blossomed into... All thanks to her

& their lovely lit' families ...

We were really full after the dinner, so we decided to bring the cake back home

Malacca Trip 20/06/2009 - 22/06/2009

A very long due Post.. hehe

During this June School holidays, the Tan's has planned to drive down to Malacca for our family trip. This was the 2nd time we drove down to Malacca, we stayed in Afamosa then. THis time, we had upgraded and stayed in Hotel Equatorial!

In Order to beat the jam, we embarked at 6am!

3 families, 2 cars... Malacca - Here we Come!

He finally got to feel his VTECH power!!

We reached Malacca ard noon time, and first thing first is to fill out stomach with something. The Good thing abt staying in Hotel Equatorial is that the shopping mallS are right besides the hotel. *thumbs up*

we headed back to the hotel to check-in after we shop ard for a while. Went to Carrefour to buy lotsa of junks and drinks and beers of cos.

During the stays there, the gals got to bathe together everytime.

Dinner, we had Nonya food.... Yummlicious!

After a hearty meal, we walked over to the famous jonkers street. Din manage to buy anything along the street, It was simply too crowded!

On the next day, we had the famous Chicken Rice Ball!

Right after we had our lunch, the rest of the activities were Shopping shopping & more shopping for the ladies! And to pamper ourselves, we went for Thai Massage to sooth our tiring feet, calves & thighs! THat's the BEST thing I enjoyed!
