Happy 13 Month!!

Here's a report of her milestones accomplishment.

• Birth weight triples : Check! She weighs 2.65kg during birth, and now she weights ard 9kg. More than triples.... tsk tsk... fat auntie.


• Bangs two cubes together: Check! accomplished this since she was ard 7mths plus.
• Puts objects into containers and then takes them out : Check!
  
• Shakes head “no” : Nowadays, she keeps shaking her head... but not too sure if she knows shaking head means "NO" "Not Nice" "Dont Want"
  
• Able to open and close cabinet doors: Check! try not to perform a task in front of her if you do not want her to learn, as she is fast in mimicking your actions
• Crawls well : She can Walk!
  
• Cruises’ using furniture : Told U she can walk lor..
  
• Walks with adult help : She can walk unaided


• Says “ma-ma” and “da-da” : She can says but she dont call us. In good times, she will call Daddy.....Mummy i only managed to catch Once!


• Interested in books and may identify some things when named :Oh Yes... apple, duck, dog, car...etc etc...
  
• May understand simple commands :If you say go gaigai, she will go take her shoes! If you say, its time for milk, she will lie down on her bed. IF you say Reia is a good girl, she will clap her hands. :)
  
• Fearful of strangers : depends whether she likes the strangers or not.
  
• Shares toys but wants them back : which baby dont?
  
• May become attached to an object : Nothing at all! she dont need anything to feel secured.
  
• Pushes away what she doesn't want : Always!
  
• Understands use of certain objects : Keys used to open door, Door bell can be pressed. Shoes to be wore on the legs.
  
• Tests parental responses to behaviour : She dont really care how we respond.
  
• Extends arm or leg when getting dressed : Oh yes!
  
• Identifies self in mirror :She will laugh at herself in the mirror and her own photos! She thinks she's really a funny baby!
  
• Begins using objects correctly (drinking from cup, brushing hair): She knows how to comb her hair !

On 29th of Every Month, It is not only her monthliversary. It's actually a checkpt for me to do certains things.

1. It's time to Sterilize her Pigeon Sterilizer - which means wash with vinegar.
2. It's time to change my Bedsheet! haha... its a monthly affair! Her bedsheet i change bimonthly. Her Pillow case, bolster case, blankie I change weekly
3. Sterilize thoroughly all her toys & story books! Normally it's a Sunday night affair thingy that i will wipe her toys with dettol!

Nasty Fall

What a Sunday to start off with.

It's Totally my Fault!

I did not watch over her, I was careless. She fell flat, face down onto the toilet curb, just inches away, she could have smashed the glass panel of our toilet divider and probably have cuts all over her face.

The whole incident started off with trying to put her on the toilet seat. At first, she refused to sit on it and i had to coax her by giving her ball to play. She was having fun throwing the ball while i pick it up and pass to her... Until the 4th or 5th throw. she threw it with such great force that she swung forward and landed right onto the curb. I was slow to react, i could not save her in time that she fell hard right in my eyes.

Luckily she did not injured her eyes...

Luckily she did not bleed...

Luckily she's alright now.

My Lifetime Shopping Companion

Since my mom is off today, she has requested us to accompany her to source for her gown to be worn on my sis's wedding (which is on Nov 29). By the way, Reia will be auditioning to be her flower girl! Criterial for her is very simple, she just need to walk straight! hahaha... etsy bitsy..

We went Vivo City, but to no avail. In the end, only Reia got to buy her GAP jacket. After we had dinner at Dian Xiao Er, we went Parkway Parade to try our luck!

We din really shop for long, before she managed to find the gown she likes or rather we like!

Simple yet elegant! With the Right make-up and hairdo, she will be a hot popo in no time.

Ever Since Reia masters the art of walking, She refuses to sit on her pram MOST of the time. She will want to walk and walk..... and dont you hold her hands... she will shake it off like how she shakes her rattle.

Now its the time I can bring my Sexy back!! for running ard with her its darn tiring. That's also the reason why Im not looking for my gown yet! I need my Slim figure back! That layers of fats needs to be shaked off!!

中秋节快乐- 2008

今年是小芮雅第一次过中秋，为了让她感染中秋气氛，我们就带她到裕华园，提着小灯笼，赏赏月，吃个月饼，听着爸爸诉说嫦娥奔月的故事，听着妈妈唱着十五的月亮美妙的声音。

It was a tiring night, we did not take the stroller with us since it was really crowded. So ah b and me got to take turns carrying Lit Reia.

It was my first time in Chinese Garden too, so i was pretty excited when we went in.

There were lanterns and balloons sold everywhere and Reia wld shout out "Dog" whenever ppl were holding one. Since I was a balloon fanatic too - I decided to buy one for her... hehe she gets to fulfill my cravings! I have all reasons to buy balloons for her or take balloons from Mac, Shopping centre where-ever!!

By the way, she has 4 balloons in her daddy's car!

This is what i've been working on for the past few weeks.

Intention was to do a flash/muvee but realised the fonts I used are quite small, photos turn out small and cldnt find a suitable music to go with it that I decided to drop the idea and just upload as pictures.

Her Birthday Pressie from Us

To continue celebrating her 1st Birthday, we brought her to Vivocity.

She was having so much fun walking ard the water park. In the end, she even fell into the pool. We had to dry her under the Sun before entering the air-conditional shopping mall.

after drying up, we headed straight to build-a-bear workshop. going to buy her her first teddy bear for her 1st Birthday! Reia has not shown any personal attachment to any belongings, be it bolster or pillow or blanket or anything. She can fall asleep anytime anywhere without the need to cuddle anything - which is a good thing.

In order to bring the feminine side out of her, we decided to get her a girlie softie toy, hopefully she will grow attach to it and remember that we bought her this bear, which i had named it "bearbear" (at least Reia could pronouce that :)

There's a wide range of different material kind of bear in the workshop - however, due to the fact that Reia is a sensitive girl, I could only choose a velvet kind of bear for her. No furry furry types.

Chosed a simple comfy clothing for the bear, nothing fanciful so that it's nice to cuddle. And it's none other than the Pyjamas!

Today we went back KidsClinic for review. She's so much better.. thou still phlegmy. PD prescribed more Singulair sachet - a kind of medicine that helps to strengthen her lungs. Total bill $77.... *haiz*

What Changes after She turns 1

She's drinking GAIN IQ now!

She's eating Egg Yolk and some outside food

We installed a Ceiling fan in our living room so that we could do away with our industrial fan that is seated on the floor. We also installed one in my mom's living room, so that Reia wont be using the standing fan to practise her pole-dancing. *tsk tsk*

迟来的礼物

Reia received these pressies after her birthday!

Reason being: Gugu germaine initially wanted to sponsor the buffet!

But i rejeted her kindness, so she went Kiddy palace and got a "bed" for her since she's a hyper active baby! Her baby cot posed a threat for her now.

Small yiyi did a last minute shopping for Reia's pressie and couldnt find the Princess toilet seat that i had requested! As such, she came empty handed and I had to punish her to get a bag of balls for Reia on top of the toilet seat.. *evil grin*

Now she's able to roll & flip & turn & toss from one end to the other end. Most importantly, She's able to roam ard freely after she's awake.... No more carry-me-out-mummy kind of pathetic look!

Short but not too sweet

Brought Reia to see PD again yesterday. She has been coughing and wheezing and breathing real hard on Sunday night. Poor girl cldnt really sleep.. she just kept coughing and huffing and puffing.... She's diagnosed with bronchilitis, had a neb in the clinic before we went home. This time round, PD prescibed antibiotics for her. PD even commented, throughout the babyhood, its fine for baby to have wheezing for 3 times... but after that, asthma could be next. And she warned me, I left with one last chance!
