A date with Big R

I took a day leave to accompany Reia to watch "The 3 little Pigs" Musical play (weekday tickets were cheaper heh).

Show started at 2pm, and so, i decided to make a appointment with an eye-specialist in GlennE to check on Reia's Lazy Eye.

Months back or years back, Reia has a bad habit of tilting one side to watch TV .

We have to constantly remind her to use both of her eyes when viewing things.. fearing her eyesight might be affected (moreover, she has strong family history of poor eyesight - Genes)
I think i better do something before her window to her soul is shut!

Hub sent us there early in the morning and went off to work. And so, it shall be me and her only for the day.



Preliminary check up

After the preliminary checkup, they need to put eyedrops in her eyes (for dont know whatever reason)

every 15mins got to put drops for 3 times.

Every children will scream and cry histerically when putting drops.

I'm glad that Reia did not embarrassed me then...

The side effect of the drops - they wld become long sighted and fear of brightness for 48hrs!

After 2nd round of checkup by Dr Pauline, she found no sign of lazy eyes.

Conclusion is - purely bad habits!

No follow up was needed!

$$ was well-spent for my peace of mind.

 

Time to Rejoice!!

Shortly after we came out from the hospital, which was near noon. Reia started to complain she couldnt open her eyes, it's too bright for her.

Luckily i brought my shades and helped her to put on. Then, we speedily crossed over to Tanglin mall and bought one kid sunglass.

We walked further down to forum, thinking that we could have our lunch at California pizza (my fav). In the end, i took her to Hard Rock instead.

I had to feed her bascially because she couldnt see what she's eating. Everytime she needs to see something, i need to hold it far away from her :)

And she had to constantly reminding me that 'Mom, i cant see'

After much walking (from Central to DBS Arts Centre)
Finally, we arrived. Together with bee and godson, we proceed to the theatre to enjoy the 'Char Siew Bao'



We were very lucky, due to heavy rain, one of the school children were late for the show, so, we got to sit right in front (4th row) from the stage.

Musical play would be very much preferred than puppet show!

After the show, we took a cab down to Goodwood park
and met up with Shadi's mom for our High-Tea session!

HOM was having a Kids Search. You just need to spend a mere $5 and you could get a Free Makeover from "The Makeover INC"

Not so much of winning the competition (as it depends on the 'like' in the FB, which i felt is totally unfair) Hot mama只为了贪the free makeover, i went for it.

I din make any appointment, just walk in with a mindset that if there's a time slot, we cld go for the shoot, else forget it.

 Lucky us, they managed to slot her in :)

Few weeks ago, we have moved Reia's bed over from our room back to her own room.

She's now sleeping together with her sis.

Need to on a bedside lamp thou as she's scared of dark....

At times, she would still creep over to bunk in our bed. Still remembering to close both doors (we've been educating her to always close the door when the aircon is on)

Wooo Hoo...

A Night & Day with the Leek

My sis and ReAnne (w/o the big Leek) were back in Town for a week, so we brought them out to have some fun.

During the Car ride home to PR, Reia decided to bunk in with them :)

The Next day, received a call from my sis that Reia refused to go to school. Tried to persuade her but to no avail. In the end, I gave in and let her have some fun at home.

Reia has completed her 1st Term in Skylace. She enjoys this class a lot and this aid her in learning her mother tongue in a fun and joyous way...

She has shown tremendous improvement in Mandarin, yeah!!

Let's see how many words she can recongize :)

Of cos, Hot mama has been revising with her. THis is a concrete result of what a SAHM can contribute/is capable of. 

Dont think i will have much time to revise with her when i start work.. Boo hoo

When the Rs are Together....

Whenever my sis and Reanne are back in Town, the most beneficial one is none other than Reia T.

Firstly, she has a playmate - Reanne

Secondly, she will get to eat good healthy meals - prep by my sis

They bond with One another

 They eat their snacks together

 They like to cuddle one another

They will have outdoor activies.

 And they will have their bubble bath together



 Lastly but not least, they will have music appreciation time conducted by my beloved sis.

 They are so well-entertatined when they are in Town.

The house will full of screaming and laughter!!

Miss them now....

Night out

Last Week, one fine night, Reia decided to bunk over @ her popo's plc since her beloved yiyi and Reanne were back in Town

~~~ Disgress ~~~~

When Reia was young and vomitted on the bed, the first thing we wld say is.... It's Ok... good job.... all the phlegm are coughed out... No worries. followed by lotsa hugs and reassurance.

Now, whenever Reia vomitted on the bed. hub would say. REIA...... U should wake up and go to the toilet and Vomit! poor gal.... depreciate so fast!

Sometimes. we just forget that she's only 3plus old.

Home Alone

Reia was running high fever for no apparant reasons, so high that we couldnt even bluff our way thru school. So no choice, someone got to stay at home. Hub volunterred so he had to send Reina to school (cannot handle both kiddos) whilst moi stayed at home with Reia waiting for hub to come home before i off to work.

8.20am, Hub called.

A: Reia still sleeping

Ro: Yes

A: ok, since she's still sleeping, u go to work first, Im coming back ard 10mins time.

Since Im pretty late at work, i went to check on her - Seems pretty deep sleep.

Turned on my Room TV chg to Disney channel, shut all windows, kept the lit stool, closed the toilet door (create a scene that someone is inside the toilet) and off i went to work feeling worrying leaving her alone in the house.

The Other Woman

This woman has been secretly creeping into his life, unknowingly snatching away my co-driver's position.

Reia: "Daddy, is so bright. Do you want your sunglassess"

Daddy: "Yes please"

*proceed to open up the front cabinet and take out the shade and hand it to her dad*

With her in the front seat, both of them will chat so happily..

yadda yadda yadda until we reach the destination. 

She has officialy took over my role!

All Rs are Down

First it was Reia, then the virus caught up to me.... which ultimately passed down to lit' R.

Poor baby, fell sick at the age of 2 mths old, So much said about breastfeeding babies have stronger immunities. Pui. Anyways, their immune system takes a while to develop, so it's pretty easy for them to pick up bugs. Oh, and my mom gonna nag that i always bring Reina out - be it Rain or shine.

Brought her to visit PD in Single-parent mode yesterday Waited for ard 2 hrs *roll eyes*

So what Dr diagnosed was

1) Sensitive nose, pretty blocked actually (genetic)

2) Eczema ard face and neck area (same as Reia)

3) Cough but lungs were cleared.

Ard 9pm, Reia vomitted on her bed whilst sleeping and i threw away the bedsheet.

Ard 12am, Reina also vomitted on me whilst burping and i threw away my clothes

What a way to end the Year 2010
