The 4th Time

Same as her jie jie Reia who suffered from Bronchitis during her toddler days
The max she had was 4 times in a year and she outgrew it.
Hopefully ReiNa follows suit..

End of your Bronchitis' days please.

Getting so used to it.

She will remind us when it's time for her puff. She knows Blue comes first, Orange the last.

A Whooping of $390 medical bill for both Rs
*breathless*

Hub brought Reia and Reina to the clinic himself and they had Mcdonald lunch before heading back to school.

Get Well soon my darlings!

Another Unexpected Episode

Happened on Oct 15.
Went to PD merely to get cough medicines for her since her cough medicines were running out.
Did not expect that she had bronchitis and needed a Neb :(
I did not really feel that she was wheezing..

Lit' R Bronchitis

Reina had persistent phlegmy cough for more than a month or 2, and ever since then, she had been taking medicines for more than a month or 2.

Until last Sat, we decided to visit the PD and realised the clinic was closed for dont know whatever reasons. This was dragged until Tues, wheezing getting bad. And so, i decided to bring her to PD myself (single-parent mode 'on') since hub had meeting in the morning.

Im glad i did that, though Im not the first in the queue, I was the first to see the doc since Reina was panting heavily. They must had realised the seriousness of it and making me more guility for not treating it seriously.

Anyways, she needed 2 nebs, since after the 1st neb, she was still wheezing badly. Luckily she was still manageable, with the help of the nurses who constantly came in and 'threaten' her whenever she started to make noise or whine

Afterwhich, i still had to send her back to the infant care ...
my poor baby...

I am blessed that she takes medicines like drinking water (unlike Reia, which we need to pin her down and force the medicine down the throat)

Her First Attack after her One!
Shooo... go away....

Happy Wheezing 6 Month, Lit' R

So sad that she has to go thru this eating tonns of medicines instead of yummy cereal which she ought to start at this significant 6 Month mark! Cereal got to wait for now till she recover.

Went back to Dr Vanessa Tan last Fri, 8 April  (before we embarked to Port Dickson) and was diagnosed Bronchitis. Had a neb in the clinic and was precribed antibiotics. Sigh....
More medicines to force down her throat.

During our stay in Port Dickson, her fever came back (on & off). As we did not bring thermometer & paracetemol with us, I just kept sponging her whenever my bare hand told me it's hot.

On Wed, I decided to bring Reina to shadi's PD (Dr YY Yip, very well-known according to shadi's mommy) for 2nd opinion (all by myself). As Expected, bronchitis was diagnosed. He asked me something which made me sad cos I told him she went to infant care... Nobody can take care of her??? i shaked my head. Really nobody?? Then he said , no choice, she wld get this kind of episode every few weeks. Haiz... I knew this was coming.... Took another neb in the clinic and changed the whole suite of medicines.

Oh God, spare my lit' baby.

一岁前的大灾难

On Wed 140pm, I received a call from her school teacher - Reia's running fever and I'd to go pick her up. School Policy is that they do not keep babies who are having fever. My poor Reia is being chased out of her school. I took a cab down to her school and back home, immediately gave her some paracetemol once we reached home. Her fever shoot up sky-high ard 39.7 up and down thruout the night. I stayed up most of the hours to sponge and check on her. The next morning, we rushed her to see PD. PD diagnosed that she'd moderate bronchitis, and there were 2 choices - One was to admit her into hospital, the other was to home-treat with the help of neubilizer. PD suggested if we could manage her, the best was to treat her from home - Needs to be put on the nebulizer for every 4 hourly plus 3 oral medicines. However, the nebulizer machines were all rented out that Reia couldnt be treated with it till today. She had to resought to Oral medicine to curb her nasty phelgm in the meantime. She lost her appetitie that she hardly want to drink her milk. Daily intake estimated only mere 200ml or so.

Early today, Hub went to the clinic to pick up the machine. The first attempt was terrible, hub was holding her while i held the nebulizer. She just kept screaming and trying her ways to wriggle off hub's grab. 2nd attempt I was all alone treating her, I put her in her high-chair, On the TV, put all her toys in front of her to distract her attention. REsult was good, she started to struggle in the last 5 mins or so. The last attempt of the day was her best so far, we put her on her high-chair, hub the clown, sing songs, play balls, read stories.... she wasnt even bothered by the nebulizer... I was happy, at least she managed to inhale the medicine effectively.

She needs to be put on the nebulizer for the next 2 days or so, Monday will bring her back to PD for review and it better be good news, cos mama me cant affort to take anymore leave and its really tiring to handle a cranky grouchy sickly baby...... What happened to my sweet-little-smiley-happy-easy-gg-angel????

Pray for my lit' one. For no more serious illness to be bestowed on her. No more!! For those that got help or able to take care of their own babes, be thankful.
