Hong Kong Trip 6 - 11 Aug '2011 (Part 1)

Alrighty, a long hiatus post on our Hong Kong Trip in Aug.

Up Till now, Im still contemplating whether to go on blogging or just pressed the delete buttons.

And I'm not too sure how many Parts will there be...afterall it was a 6D5N trip.

So here goes...

This Hong Kong Trip was planned all because of Reia T, in celebration of her coming big 4.

Initial plan was Mom & Dad to tag along, then Dad backout due to his work committment.

We started to find hotel which can accomodate 3 adults & 2 children. Unfortunately, most hotel rooms in HK were pretty small, in the end, we decided to book 2 rooms instead.

Surprising YSY & Reanne decided to join us. So, this Hong Kong Trip in totality will have 3 ladies, 3 kiddos & a man.  *how exicting*

Airline - Tigerway

Airline to me is VERY important, i need comfy, i need inflight system. However, because of budget constraint, debated very long with alvin - "only a few hrs flight" "why waste $$ on airticket" yadda yadda...... and in the end

I chose the stripes(tiger) to have my desire(more prada)

Hotel - Novotel @ Nathan (for 4 nights)

Disney hollywood hotel (for 1 night)

Let our Adventurous Holidays began..

We booked an ultra early flight 6plus am, so we had to be in the airport @ an un-godly hour of 4am.

Luckily the children were co-operative, we met mom and sis @ the budget terminal

After 3hrs plus fuss-free flight, we had finally reached Hong Kong.

The kiddos were checking out the connecting rooms, having fun running ard 



Downtown East Theme Park

A Theme park that is so near my mom's place, and it never occur to me that we should pay a visit.

One fine Sunny Sunday, we just grabbed our kids and off we went to the downtown East Theme Park.

Sunday was Members' day. So.. One adult wld be free.. Yeah...

Bonus to that, we dont have to queue for any of the rides.

Unfortunately, the wild wild wet was closed.

The only ride which i wanted Reia to try was none other than Viking.

Let's see... Let's see how well Big R can take this heart-drop adrenaline ride.

The minimum height required was 1.2m..but i still brought Reia to the ride, crossing my fingers that she could just sneak thru. And Yes she did, the "boy" in charge cldnt bother abt the height.

And She had a first experience on the Viking!

And i dared her to put both hands Up, and she did.

The Rest of the rides were pretty normal and less challenging..

Within an hr, we had finished all the rides.

Reia continued to request to ride on the Viking.. in total she had ridden 4 times.

By the 2nd time up there, she refused to let my arms wrapped ard her waist and last row was the only row she wanted to be.

During the 5th time, they did a change shift. This time round, the 'man' in charge was stricter and refused to let reia up to the ride.

Come to think about it, is tad bit of dangerous as she simply could fly out of the Viking with her small built.

Nevertheless, she had her thrill and we knew she was capable of having more.

Perhapes Bungee jumping together with me if there's opportunity? haha

(the next i wanted her to try was the Mummy @ Universal Studio)

After the Big One

So what changes after lit' R turns One?

Sad to say, Reina is Underweight (but healthy). According to her weight, she's only at 3 percentile.
As Such, PD recommended to change her FM to Pediasure instead.
So currently, she's on this Costly tin of milk powder. Hopefully her weight will increase.
However, PD also mentioned that some children just have high metabolism rate, 怎么吃都吃不肥。If she's the latter, she's gg to be envied by others... haha 

Miraculously, her eczema on the face has improved tremendously. I'm not sure why.. God must have heard our prayers. Thank God!

Since she has the ONE visa, she gets to try a bit of everything

For e.g. waffle, Yakult etc

 

Thou her motor skill is not as fast as her sister, she's practicing her baby steps.

Unlike the Previous birthday parties that we held, this year was a much relaxing ... pre & post.

Recap of the hectic One@ Reia's 1st Birthday

For Reina's, we paid to get everything done for us.

Delivery of Cake (instead of collecting on our own)

Delivery of balloons (no more pumping on our own)

We arrived at the Party venue around half-plus 2, rather late actually. Intended arrival time (according to my plan) was to reach there at 2pm. Quickly put up the decor, balloons, re-arrange the table setup etc.

And the most anticipating Cake...

ta-dah.

a tad too plain i find, otherwise it wld be a much more-worthy cake as the workmanship was really good.

Overall, I'm happy with this cake :)

The guests were very much into the theme, most of them wore Pink for the Royal Princess :)

This Year, I remembered to distribute the party hat to all kids.

Group photos with all the guests.

I had to extend another half-an-hour as the kids really had great fun playing and we had difficulty in dragging them out :)

Hopefully all the Big kids and lit' kids enjoyed themselves.

Not forgetting all the lovely presents and angpows!

Final Countdown to Lit R's Birthday Bash

Before I start to blog about her Birthday Party, I've to blog about the Final preparation

So here goes..

I had custom-made Reina's Birthday outfit and realised the romper was not as tight fitting as i had thought (thou i'd already chosen size 3-6mths).

Worried that it wld not turn out to be pretty, i frantically did a last min shopping in Paragon sourcing for the one. Unfortunately, nothing caught my eyes, nothing at all. And So, my 2nd alternatives was to wear back Reanne's Birthday Dress.

i chance upon this HK birthday banner! Wow, this is it! I have to make this banner for her.... on my own. Shouldnt be too difficult right, i just have to put in some effort, some time, some heart, I dont see why not.

Very much would i like to personally handmade something for her, I just kept procrastinating and in the endm i ran out of time. OK, i see myself "way too up", i wld PAY to have that made. However, as the timeline was way too short, the shop owner could not made it in time and not forgetting the shipping time. Arrgghhh. In the End, I came out something else :)

Ta-dah... Simple and Nice with HK theme still keep in tact!

Not forgetting Reina's yiyi did a great job in cutting out her names and colored it with Black marker.

Next, i need to prepare the Goodie Bag with Reia's help.

I love personal touch, so somehow, i need to personalize each goodie bag.

The 1st batch of tiara i cut out, the paper i used was way too soft that the tiara could not really keep it upright. No choice, had to buy a thicker one so that it would look nice on the kitty. Thus, i handed this task to my sis again and i wrote each kiddos' names on it.
