Reina is turning one month soon, which mean i only left with 12 weeks :( sux
How has 宁- the lit' tigger grown so far..
Due to jaundice, Reina needs to stay one more night in hospital for the photo-therapy. Sad - she had to follow her big sis footsteps thou we've the same blood group!
Diff (1) - Jaundice
When Reia had to stay one more night in hospital, we went back hospital that evening after i was discharged to breastfeed her, cuddle her, spent as much time with her before we left.
When Reina had to stay one more night in hospital, we did not visit her at all. (too occupied with reia). I instructed the nurse to provide her FM as it wld bring down the jaundice. we left her there alone.
Mistake (1) - I did not bring my Pump.
On day 3 during my hospital stay, i cld feel my milk supply has kicked it (which was not expected) and Reina who was still a newborn then, demand wasnt that great to clear off the excess. Slowly slowy, my boobies became harder and harder. On day 4, i requested to loan the pump from hospital and to my horrid, it cost $35 for the whole day! being a cheapo mama, and since im gg to be discharged, refused to pay. My sis actually advised me to manual pump it out in the bathroom to release it, but being a cheapo mama, i refused to waste a single drop of my precious milk! A LC came and visited me, upon touching my boobies, she quickly brought 2 cool cabbage and stuff it inside my bra to ease my pain!
I tahan till i reached home!
Mistake (2) - Overconfidence
Immediately, i took out my pump and start pumping. With my past experiences, with these type of boobies (hard as a Rock), Im gg to produce tonns of litres of mik!! Boy... i was so darn wrong, my first pump produced like 20 ml each... and stopped. My boobs still feel like a ROCK no matter how i massaged, how i squeezed, how i power up the suction. Die, I've blocked ducts!!! which i never had it before with Reia. How to Clear blocked ducts???!!! I started to sms my friends, i used the cabbage method... I used the hot shower method, i used massage method.. i kept pumping hourly... my boobs still feel like a ROCK (even feel lumps at my armpits). Until didi called me after i sent her an SOS message. Over the phone, she taught me how to massage and suspected actually my nipples were blocked (and explained that ECP was jammed which caused KPE jammed to) and so i started to massage my nipple which were pretty sore by then due hourly pumping . Was so traumatised that i din even want to store my milk. I just leave it there on the table and carry on pumping, pumping and pumping. It did help after i massage and squeezed my nipples (OUCH), managed to relieve some milk. The sweetie didi even offered to come down and massage for me the next day! Since Im gg back to hospital the next day to bring Reina home, i wld go look for a LC to massage for me! Luckily, due to hub busy work schedule, he needed to pick us, drop us back home and rushed back to work, i have no time to consult a LC. So i crossed my fingers and hope that Reina cld release all my PAIN. Nothing beats her suck!

I've been feeding Reina upon demand. From the start, i wld note down how many mins from which side, note down the last feeding time until my data was all wiped out (after i sync my iphone). Fustrated, i decided not to carry on entering the time and stop looking at the time whilst feeding. What 15mins each.... forget it. Reina always fell asleep after feeding one side, i deduced one side supply was enough to satisfy her! haha
Angel baby???!!!!
After 3 weeks with her, i deduced she is not as angelic as her big sister.
Nevertheless, she will become one in time to come..
Oh and to commend Reia, She really hearts her lit' sister!!
